4. Listening for a specific vocabulary  is a type of listening that involves identifying and remembering a set of words that can be easily classified, such as food and animals. The students actively listen in order to identify specific words within a spoken text. Learners deduce the meaning of each word based on their prior knowledge and the context. Learners recognize the significance of context (including the surrounding words in an utterance) in determining the meaning of a word.
